Bald Eagle

Here're more pictures from the last Marymoor Park walk. We watched the couple of the Bald Eagles on the distant tree. It seems it was the "bath time" for birds around there. Because the Eagles were cleaning their feathers as were Herons. Probably they were drying them after fishing.

Все с той же прогулки в парке. С птичьей тропы видели вдалеке на высоком одиноком дереве пару Орланов. У них гнездо здесь недалеко. Видимо, час был такой - "банный". Потому что орланы, как и цапли, чистили перья и сушили крылья. Возможно, после рыбной ловли.



The funny thing - for some reason when the Heron cleans himself he still looks a Heron. But the Eagle doing this looks like a huge ruffled-up Sparrow. Somehow he doesn't look a serious bird he normally does :)

Интересно. Почему-то для меня чистящаяся Цапля выглядит нормально. Ну, Цаплей выглядит. А вот чистящийся Орлан почему-то похож на нахохленного Воробья. Этакий Воробей-переросток. Несерьезно как-то смотрятся :)
